If you purchase this product, you will receive 3 bottles (180 tablets) of original YiYa Astaxanthin Carotenoid Complex.

Astaxanthin contributes to sharp vision, protects the retina, and reduces eye fatigue. Carotenoids protect the health of the heart, vascular system, brain, nervous system, skin, and prostate. Astaxanthin is the most potent antioxidant carotenoid molecule known in nature. It effectively blocks ultraviolet radiation, reduces inflammatory responses, protects and promotes healthy immune function, lowers cancer risk, mitigates the effects of diabetes, protects the heart muscle and blood vessels, slows brain aging, and supports eye health.

Recommended dosage: 1 capsule daily (with a meal).

What symptoms and conditions can the Astaxanthin carotenoid complex help us with?

– In maintaining eye health
– In the prevention and additional treatment of age-related eye problems (macular degeneration, cataracts, glaucoma, high eye pressure, retinopathy)
– In improving eyestrain, acuity, focusing
– In keeping the eyes hydrated, in case of dry eyes
– Recommended supplement: Krill oil, Choline and Inositol, Isotonic drink powder/capsule
– In the prevention and complementary treatment of cardiovascular diseases
– In supporting the nervous system, increasing blood supply to the brain (in recovery after a stroke), preserving cognitive abilities and mental health
– In maintaining the healthy state of the skin, helping to protect the skin against UV radiation, and protecting against skin aging

Eye protection:

Carotenoids accumulate beneficially in our eyes. Zeaxanthin is primarily on the retina in the so-called it is concentrated in cones, which are responsible for color vision, and lutein is concentrated in the rod cells on the periphery of the retina, which play a role in black-and-white vision. Astaxanthin accumulates in the iris muscle, thereby contributing to the improvement of the ciliary body function, optimal focusing and proper eye accommodation. Astaxanthin reduces the harmful oxidation processes in the eye lens caused by UV light. With the effect of astaxanthin and other carotenoids, research has shown a clear improvement in the signaling function of the retina, and it also helps prevent damage to the retina. Astaxanthin inhibits inflammatory processes in the eye, blocking the signaling pathway of the nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kB), which is involved in the inflammatory immune response. Eye strain is a common complaint among people who spend hours in front of a computer. When using 5 mg of astaxanthin per day, eye fatigue was reduced by 54 percent and the ability of the eyes to adapt to the increased load increased for those working in front of the monitor. With the effect of 6 mg of astaxanthin per day, the adaptive ability of the eye to focus improved, the subjects were able to see clearly and focus on objects in a wider range of vision. Research has confirmed the beneficial effect of astaxanthin in the case of the three most common age-related eye problems: age-related macular degeneration, graying of the eye lens, and abnormally high eye pressure. Lutein and zeaxanthin consumption reduced the risk of developing cataracts by 32% in a study of 1,802 women. In a double-blind, randomized clinical trial, 17 patients with cataracts were given lutein (15 mg, 3 times a week, for two years). The visual acuity of the participants improved as a result of the treatment. Astaxanthin (4 mg/day), lutein (10 mg/day), zeaxanthin (1 mg/day) improved visual acuity and contrast in patients with early age-related macular degeneration. Based on the results of laboratory experiments, astaxanthin protects the cells of the retina against oxidative stress and reduces the size of the area affected by pathological changes in the retina.

Protection of the brain and nervous system:

Astaxanthin has a versatile, beneficial effect on the brain. Unlike many other antioxidant molecules, astaxanthin crosses the blood-brain barrier, which allows it to beneficially accumulate in brain tissue and protect brain neurons. In animal studies, astaxanthin reduced the risk of cerebrovascular accident, reduced the size of areas affected by cerebral hemorrhage, and improved motor activity after a stroke. One study demonstrated that astaxanthin pretreatment prevented ischemic brain injury after 2 hours of blocking one of the largest arteries in the brain. In a human study of age-related forgetfulness, 12 mg of astaxanthin per day improved cognitive ability and learning scores in healthy, middle-aged and elderly individuals. The researchers note that astaxanthin has a direct beneficial effect on epilepsy by protecting the brain from oxidative damage, reducing lipid peroxidation and preventing mitochondrial damage. The effects are particularly remarkable when astaxanthin is combined with omega-3.

Skin protection against UV radiation, skin rejuvenation:

Astaxanthin accumulates beneficially in the outer and deeper layers of the skin (sunscreen cosmetics only reach the outermost layers), thereby providing effective protection against the strongest environmental risk factor, ultraviolet radiation. Ultraviolet radiation increases skin aging, our skin becomes wrinkled and wrinkled over time, and the risk of malignant changes in the skin tissue increases. Human studies have shown that taking 6 mg of astaxanthin daily for 6-8 weeks reduced the appearance of crow’s feet and wrinkles while improving skin moisture, elasticity, and skin texture in both men and women. In a double placebo-controlled study, the combined use of astaxanthin (2mg) and vitamin E tocotrienols (50mg) increased the moisture content and elasticity of dry skin, reduced the amount of wrinkles, and helped the under-eye circles to disappear.

Maintaining a healthy cardiovascular system:

Astaxanthin may reduce the risk of heart disease. It inhibits LDL oxidation, increases HDL (good) cholesterol levels, supports healthy glucose metabolism, and reduces the risk of arterial blockage. A 2020 pilot study found that three months of astaxanthin supplementation reduced oxidative stress and improved heart contractility in patients with heart failure. Astaxanthin also supports healthy glucose metabolism and helps prevent and control type II diabetes. In 2018, 44 patients with type II diabetes were examined. After 8 weeks, those who received astaxanthin had significantly increased levels of adiponectin. Adiponectin is a protein hormone that can reduce high insulin levels. Their visceral body fat mass, triglyceride level, LDL cholesterol level and systolic blood pressure also decreased.

Additional plant components:

Lycopene is a very valuable carotenoid. In the body, lycopene promotes blood vessel function, supports normal insulin sensitivity, and helps maintain healthy blood pressure levels. Lycopene is best known for its role in reducing the risk of prostate cancer. It inhibits the progression of prostate cancer, the proliferation of malignant cells and helps the apoptosis (cell death) of these cells. Recent studies have shown that lutein and zeaxanthin, which are well known for protecting the eyes, play an important role in helping brain function. It has a beneficial effect on faster thinking, visual memory, cognitive flexibility and better cerebral blood flow. Lutein and zeaxanthin are also remarkable in the prevention of malignant processes and cardiovascular diseases.
